Everything you own of the people you love is silent.

Most of us have thousands of photographs and almost no recordings. You know exactly what your kid looked like at three. You have no idea what they sounded like.

That isn't carelessness. A phone catches faces on its own, hundreds of times a month, without anyone deciding anything. Catching a voice takes a decision — and things that take a decision get pushed to next weekend for years at a time.

So we make objects that do the remembering for you.

What we care about

An object gets played. A file never does. You could record a voice memo tonight. Most people won't, and if they did, nobody would open it again. A decoration comes out of the box every December because it's a decoration, gets picked up because it's beautiful, and plays because it got picked up. The ritual happens by accident. That's the whole idea.

It has to sound like them. There is a pile of recordable cards, books and bears out there that sound tinny and thin, and people remember being let down by them. We'd rather you hear ours before you trust us on it.

You shouldn't carry the risk. You're buying this for someone else, which means you can't test it and you only find out whether it worked at the exact moment it matters most. Asking you to carry that would be unreasonable. So we carry it instead — 90 days, full refund, and we don't ask for it back.
